Overview
Nebraska's capital city, Lincoln is home to a rich culture steeped in history dating back to 1856 when it was founded as Lancaster. After the conclusion of the Civil War, Lancaster was renamed Lincoln, after the recently assassinated US president.
The metro area of Lincoln encompasses a number of neighborhoods and suburbs, with a total population of more than 300,000.
